ESSENTIAL TOOLS
Electrophysiology patient list:
You will need access to the Electrophysiology patient list prior to starting your EP rotation.
- The patient list is comprised of both inpatient consults and outpatients.
- Outpatients presenting for EP procedures are added to the list by the EP APC
- New inpatient consults should be added to the list.by the fellow
- Patients can be removed from the list if EP follow up is no longer required (please make sure you discuss with the EP attending prior to removing any patients)
You can get access to the electrophysiology patient list by requesting one of the senior fellows to share the list with you. In order to share a list click patient list > properties > proxy > new > provider > add provider’s name, date and full access as shown below
Multi-Patient Task List:
- The multi-patient task list will be set up during orientation
- All new consult orders will appear on the list
- Once a consult appears on the EP multi-patient task list, it should be added to the Electrophysiology patient list
- Make sure you mark the consult order as complete (check) after the patient has been staffed by an EP attending
Ambulatory Organizer:
- Enter the name of the EP attending to access patients on the ambulatory organizer
- Contains EP outpatients coming to EMCP EP lab for procedures
- Contains any inpatient add-on procedures
- On clinic days, the ambulatory organizer will also contain outpatient EP clinic patients
Tiger Connect:
- Make sure you opt in to the EP consult role on tiger connect
- This will allow others to communicate with you regarding any new consults and patient updates
