CATH ADMISSION ORDERS
How to place admission orders
– Click “orders”
– In the search bar type “place patient in”
– You will see the following fields:
- Patient status
- Level of Care
- Service
- Attending physician
-These fields need to be completed to ensure proper disposition
-Once admission orders are placed, “isolation precautions” must be
ordered
Admission to Tele-NTS/CICU:
Note: Patient being admitted under interventional cardiology service with anticipated next day discharge
Patient Status: Short Procedure
Level of Care: Step down
Service: CAR-NTS
Attending Physician: Interventional Cardiology attending who performed the procedure
Admission to Telemetry teaching:
Patient Status: Inpatient
Level of Care: Telemetry
Service: CAR-Cardiology teaching
Attending Physician: Telemetry Attending
Admission to Telemetry teaching:
Note: If anticipated next day discharge
Patient Status: Short Procedure
Level of Care: Step down
Service: CAR- Cardiology teaching
Attending Physician: Telemetry Attending
Admission to CCU:
Patient Status: Inpatient
Level of Care: Intensive/Critical Care
Service: CAR-CCU
Attending Physician: CCU Attending
